Welcome to Walton School.
Our motto is ‘Stand Tall and Proud’ which is indicative of our school. It was established in 1896 and still maintains a strong link to a supportive and caring community. We have an excellent reputation in the Waikato for setting high standards, having high expectations from our children and employ excellent teachers.
We are a ‘family’ school where sharing and caring for each other is of prime importance.
Parent-School relationships are positive and we recognise the importance of a friendly, open partnership between home and school.
We try to help the children to reach their full potential academically, socially, emotionally and physically. We promote in each child values that are seen as desirable for citizens initiative, tolerance, honesty, responsibility, a good work ethic, integrity, creativity and respect for property and the environment.
We want our children to make progress in learning throughout their lives.
